James Heylar
Stunning first half saves, desperately unlucky to get caught 1 on 1 with seconds to go in the first half, and could do nothing about the penalty, looked sharp and kicked well from Goal kicks.
Ben Lewis
Still struggling for pace after his injury/sickness and was caught flat a couple of times, fitness improving with every game however
Si Fowler
Unselfish performance, distributed the ball well and was always in control of the defence, unlucky to gve penalty away, apart form that did little wrong
James Wilder
Ran his legs off and never shirked the tackle when required. After blowing away the early cobwebs did little wrong.
Shannon Townsend
Quiet game by his standards and was run ragged dealing with the long throw, tried his best second half playing out of position up front and always looked threatening moving down the wing.
Sam Lewis
Frustrated himself by running out of players to run past and deserved a goal for his efforts, is trying to shape the teams movements around his energy and persistence and if he remains patient will be rewarded with goals and wins.
Charlie Burdett
Strong in the tackle and managed to link up well, tired a little second half and couldn’t maintain the intensity and grit shown in the first half when he was excellent.
Ollie Fairbanks
Looked focused and dangerous when able to run down the wing with the ball. Needs to improve the defensive side of his midfield play in order to cement that position, ran out of steam second half.
Stuart Mitchinson
Showed some genuine touches of class and some real guile in passing and movement. Needs to step up the intensity throughout the entire match but improving every game in midfield.
James Davis
Scored again and looked like he should have had a hatful. Again the only complaint his the mouth – must focus his energy into his game for 90 mins, looks brilliant in full pomp on the ball, looks like a shambles when over appealing and screaming at team mates.
Danny Deal
Unfortunate injury shortened a gutsy performance, always looked dangerous and holding the ball up well. Forming a great forward partnership with James.
Subs
Tommy Kislingbury
One piece of brilliance and one piece of madness but overall looked strong and did what was asked. Needs to react quicker when the ball is at his feet.
Ian Cawley
No real time to make an impact but ran around well and tried to make a nuisance of himself when the midfield was tiring.
